Behind Nuit d'Ménil are all those rides home from my best buddies'. We all live in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, around Ménilmontant, and those late-night walks inspired me to write this sound.

Bed and break fast is just a sound to get people dancing, both rough and melancholy. I experimented with moving from a break beat to a 4/4 rhythm to build up a catchy rhythm throughout the track.

I wasn't born in 1937 is a little nod to my pal Lucas Moinet, who runs Studio 937. He's the one who introduced me to the world of the MPC, he went with me to buy my first one, and when I got home and plugged everything in, the first sound I composed on my MPC was this one, it was for him.

16 swing-71 is a deep house track that moves between an organ solo and a very hard core deep house stab. I added the 16 swing-71 shuffle from the SP1200 to make everything groove. With this track, I've tried to reconnect with, or at least celebrate, a period I would have loved to have known: the 90s.
